- Happy pre-Spring, gardeners! Many of us are feeling dumped on, literally, with a hard and snow-filled winter. Yet the promise of Spring is bounty underneath the snowy slop. Let us focus on this, preparing our hearts for the beauty of receiving, and our bodies for the unity of gardening together. Whether we know it or not, when we place our hands upon the seeds and soil, there is a mutual healing that nurtures our souls. Let this garden be the context for this mutual healing! Let the alchemy of Mother Earth transmute pain, overwhelm, sadness, and loss into the fruitfullness and loving union that is our shared human purpose!
- When we seek to shift a pattern, there is always something to overcome. After a beautiful first meeting that felt both synchronous and divine, two of our four key leaders have pulled out, due to personal overwhelm. We persevere, and we acknowledge that when creating something new and wonderful, there is a gap between the way we are used to being and the new way we are building. This is why the name of our garden is "NeoEden." We are called to lean in, open up to each other, and drink deeply of the support of community, even though this can feel like the ripping off of our skin. Literally, my stomache aches when it is time to be vulnerable and open but all I want to do is tune out to all the pain within and around me. There are disappointments we all carry, and though they feel unique and personal, they are not. We are all longing for the same thing, and our hearts really are one heart. It is up to us to manifest the experience of oneness by sharing what we do not want to share, asking for help when we need it, and staying committed to the utopia we know is possible here at NeoEden. Happy days are just around the bend of time, my friends!
