There is so much to say about home that I don't know where to begin. We all want to come from a system of love that's soft like mom when you want it and hard like dad when you need it. We want balance. We want to be loved unconditionally and pushed to be our best and we want this together with others.
My home is a short-term rental and an urban farm. It is a hodge-podge of grifters and drifters (though I've never been grifted for they slip on the incline of my vibe). Evildoers find themselves suddenly smitten with good; they're bewitched by the chickens and hypnotized by the sunlight flooding us all at the kitchen table, sparking us alive.
It is good to be home. It is good to make merry, cook slowly, and allow the space in between moments to spread out like butter on hot, homemade toast, popped fresh from the toaster & barely cool enough to handle even for one little second.
To be home is to revel in the deliciousness of connection, nourishment, and comfort. To be home is to beckon softly to the muses, who await your heart as it shuffles itself open after a long, bearish, wintery hybernation-style nap.
All the dust settles as sunlight drifts over the lashes of a lover or child soft asleep. The innocence of oblivious sleep, all bought and paid for by the one who bought, built, and paid for stronger-than-strong, 100-year-old haven of a house. The house holds the spirits of the ones who are connected within and beyond her walls, linked by love.
The Home section of my blog is a celebration of conscious living. Here you will find tools and tips for keeping a home that is an empowering context for family success. Make yourself at home here!
Speaking of H.O.M.E., that real estate company was invented by yours truly years ago, and is no longer operational, as I have found my home with Coldwell Banker Realty. Too much time on your own at home is not good, after all, and I love the luxury and effectiveness of Coldwell Banker. Reach out to me today, so we can grab coffee and talk and listen together about what home means to you. Maybe we'll even dream up a future for H.O.M.E. where global meets grassroots and real estate comes alive with love. Maybe instead of (or in addition to) decentralize, we can re-centralize around...you guessed it, HOME!
Resource control makes good things grow!
See you soon!
